The popular Indonesian tourist hub Bali is preparing to offer a ‘wellness tourism’ which will champion locations used for yoga and other forms of meditation at the Nusa Dharma Island, Nusa Dua, and Badung Regency.
“We truly hope that Nusa Dharma will be identified in the future as a yoga and meditation area which will hopefully increase the number of tourist visitations of Nusa Dua, especially in growing its wellness tourism visitations,” said The Nusa Dua managing director I Gusti Ngurah Ardita on Monday, June 21,
According to Ardita, the island’s area is home to a three hectare land that can be used as a yoga and meditation space, which he boldly forecasts as “possibly the only one in the world, which is our value.”
The island in question was also the location where the seventh international day of yoga was held on Sunday, June 20, which was managed by the Consulate General of India in Bali partnering with The Nusa Dua under PT Pengembangan Pariwisata Indonesia.
Citing Antaranews, the Consul General of India in Bali Prakash Chand conveyed his appreciation for The Nusa Dua and yoga school Yogmantra Bali for their support in hosting the event amidst strict coronavirus restrictions. (Tempo.co)
