Australians topped the list of foreign tourists visiting Bali in 2009, with a total of 446,570 people from Australia, increasing from 313,111 in 2008, visiting the resort island last year.
“Many Australians consider Bali their second home," head of the Bali Central Bureau of Statistics Ida Komang Wisnu told Antara state news agency Thursday
He said most of the Australians arrived in Bali through Ngurah Rai Airport directly from Australia, and the others came by yacht.
Second on the list are Japanese tourists, she added. Last year, the Japanese were top of the list.
